Jay Farrell, Architect is a residential design firm in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1988 and from the outset has specialized in single family homes. Projects include new construction, renovations, remodels and additions.

Jay holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked in architecture firms in Austin and Dallas before starting his own practice and brings over 30 years experience to his work. While practicing architecture Jay has engaged in various volunteer activities including serving on the boards of Preservation Austin and the Austin History Center Association, the vestry and the building and columbarium committees of All Saints’ Episcopal Church and the steering committee of his neighborhood association. Prior to studying architecture Jay served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He earned both Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Geography from the University of Kansas where his studies focused on cultural landscapes and regional geography. He attended high school in Alexandria, Virginia. Jay is a registered architect in the state of Texas.
