Jay Farrell, Architect is a residential design firm in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1988 and from the outset has specialized in single family homes. Projects include new construction, renovations, remodels and additions.

Jay attended high school in Alexandria, Virginia. He holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Geography from the University of Kansas and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Before starting his own practice Jay worked in architecture firms in Austin and Dallas. He has served on the boards of Preservation Austin (Heritage Society of Austin) and the Austin History Center, the vestry of All Saints’ Episcopal Church and the steering committee of his neighborhood association among other volunteer activities. Prior to studying architecture Jay served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He is a registered architect in the state of Texas.
